Kristin M. Lis exclusively practices family law and represents clients in a broad variety of matters including divorce, divorce from bed and board, child custody, child support and other unique issues such as relocation, college distribution, emancipation and adoption.

Prior to forming Smedley & Lis in 2015, Ms. Lis was a sole practitioner serving the legal needs of clients in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem Counties. Ms. Lis clerked in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Atlantic County for the Honorable Max A. Baker, P.J.F.P. from 2009-2010 and worked as an associate for the general practice law firm of Adams & Adams.

Ms. Lis has been a pro bono volunteer with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice since 2011, helping launch their Skype Family Law Clinic in 2014. In 2010, she was a panelist at the annual Family Law Clerk Bootcamp and addressed the new class of law clerks on the responsibilities and challenges of clerking for the Family Part. In 2015, she began serving as a pro bono mediator for the Atlantic County Special Civil Part assisting litigants in resolving matters by alternate dispute resolution.
