Ms. Mary Cay Trace, of counsel for Smedley & Lis, is a collaboratively trained attorney and a founding member of the South Jersey Collaborative Divorce Professionals (SJCDP). SJCDP is comprised of collaboratively trained attorneys as well as financial advisors and mental health professionals whose goal is to improve communication between parties, providing parties with control of the divorce process while keeping assets and personal problems private and promoting respect and healthier long-term communications. Ms. Trace firmly believes that mediation and/or a collaborative resolution should be explored prior to taking the action of litigation. Should litigation be required, Ms. Trace has over 30 years of extensive experience in the area of trial litigation.
